ComfyTAM monthly reports: funding, strategy and evidence

Use this chronological register to distinguish Comfy company announcements from editorial interpretation and unexecuted tests. It connects every retained month to its purpose, identifies the six newly filled archive gaps, and keeps funding and identity claims attached to dated public sources.

Archive coverage and review disposition
MonthPurposeStatus and limits
July 2025Original thesis, now explicitly historicalThe historical chapter remains available with its correction notice. Its old market, adoption and commercial estimates are not validated by this update.
August 2025Onboarding and reusable subgraphsKeep the corrected onboarding method. It is September 2026 editorial guidance on an older route, not an August measurement series.
September 2025Funding disclosure and local/cloud missionPreserve the hardware acceptance guide and add the funding announcement to its actual announcement month.
October 2025Extension provenance and hosted modelsKeep the corrected custom-node provenance guide; distinguish a hosted Partner Node from locally executed model weights.
November 2025Cloud public beta and reproducible handoffsRetain the reproducibility method and attach an actual public-beta announcement rather than unsupported adoption numbers.
December 2025Dependency records and repository governanceKeep the licence and dependency register; append the dated organisational announcement with its future milestone clearly labelled.
January 2026Hardware support with explicit conditionsRevised 29 September 2026. Replaces unsupported parity, blanket speedup and node-deprecation claims. Sora 2 Partner Nodes were announced in October 2025, not first introduced in January.

Funding: announcement dates, not assumed closing dates

Publicly disclosed USD financing; not audited financial statements
AnnouncementDisclosureNamed backersEvidence
16 September 2025$17M funding; no valuation stated.Pace Capital, Chemistry, Abstract Ventures; Essence VC also acknowledged.Company disclosure
24 April 2026$30M financing; $500M valuation; $47M total funding reported.Craft (lead), Pace Capital, Chemistry, TruArrow and unnamed others.Company disclosure and lead investor, 25 April

These are disclosed figures, not a reconstructed cap table. Do not add a cumulative total to a new round, assume investor allocation sizes, or interpret the reported valuation as pre-money or post-money without supporting terms. No later funding announcement is established by this reviewed source set; absence from it is not proof of absence.

Unresolved source difference: TechCrunch describes a $19M late-2024 Series A, unlike the company's earlier $17M disclosure. We do not merge these accounts into an invented extra round or revised total. Resolving the difference requires clarification or transaction-level primary evidence, which this review has not obtained.

Investor perspective is not independent verification. Craft confirms its participation and describes a programmable creative-infrastructure thesis. Its commercial incentives remain relevant. The company's and investor's adoption/download figures lack a shared measurement specification here, so they are not used to calculate growth, revenue or addressable market.

Public names and aliases

Only names explicitly connected in public profiles, a founding-team statement or a founder interview are joined here. This is not a complete employee directory, and undated profiles establish identity at review time rather than a historical job title.

The monthly report scaffold

  1. Dated announcements: source, publication date, event date when separately established, and whether a feature is announced, beta, available or merely planned.
  2. Funding: amount type, currency, disclosed total, valuation basis and investor attribution; leave undisclosed terms unknown.
  3. Interpretation: an explicit editorial argument about a concrete operator decision, separate from company claims.
  4. Verification: a proposed reproducible test and required artefacts, without fabricated pass results or copy-and-paste code that has not been run.
  5. Next review: unresolved questions and corrections with their own dates. For September, review 30 September announcements only after they exist.

The research inspected Comfy's official 2025 and 2026 newsletter indexes, selected full announcements, the participating investor's account and public identity sources. It is selective, not an exhaustive census of every release, investor or private transaction. Republishing an announcement elsewhere does not create a new funding date. A later retrospective is labelled with both its publication month and the period it covers.

For future comparisons, record source dates and evidence types before collecting numbers. Funding, bookings, revenue, downloads, stars and active users answer different questions. Never convert one into another or claim a monthly trend without consistent definitions and observations.

This is a source calendar and a set of methods chapters, not a measured total addressable market or adoption time series. The April valuation is attributed to Comfy's announcement, not an independent valuation by 42 UK Research. Technical publication checks do not establish Google indexing, search ranking or inclusion in an AI answer.
